The cap is named after Hans Island, also known as Tartupaluk in Kalaallisut—the Greenlandic language. The Hans cap, our third follow-up to the original "Make America Go Away" cap, featuring two flags: the Canadian flag on one side and Denmark's flag on the other.

It was created to emphasize the friendship and respect between two nations facing external pressures from the U.S. President. Hans Island has been the subject of a unique border dispute between Denmark and Canada that lasted from 1973 to 2022, known humorously as the Whiskey War.

The Whiskey War gained its name when Canadian soldiers planted their national flag on Hans Island and left a bottle of Canadian whisky. The Danish Minister of Greenland Affairs visiting the island, raised the Danish flag, left a bottle of akvavit, and a note welcoming visitors to the Danish island. This began a tradition of the two countries taking turns planting their flags and leaving bottles of spirits on the island. The resolution established a border across Hans Island.

While the cap echoes Trump's slogan, the design is distinct. The red and white colors reflect the flags of the two countries, and the typeface, DS 737, is based on the official Danish signage typeface, originally released in 1954 by Dansk Standard as ‘Danish Standard no. 737’.
